Hi Dey’ja,
I would say that everyone's experience is probably a little different, so here is mine. I come to CareerVillage to share my experience in the workplace and in education to help other individuals who may need advice on those two elements. My passion is around helping figure out what they want to do for a living. I am a big proponent of people doing what they already love to do. Today I do the same thing that I dreamed about doing when I was six years old, be a writer. The dream may not be the exact plan that I had for myself, but it is real and I am happy. I took the long way around getting my first college diploma, 17 years. So I like to think that I can provide some perspective on the challenges presented by going into higher education. College is hard and it may not always be necessary depending on your desired career. If you start the path to college, this site can be a resource as you try to move through the college experience.
I hope that you take advantage of this site no matter your plans for a job or college.
