This is a good question and it is something that all of us need to look at. I believe as long as I am learning, enjoying my work and facing new challenges/opportunities in my career I will be extremely satisfied. I think that all of these would eventually lead each of us to be extremely motivate and energized which would automatically lead us to giving our best and leading to a great career progression.

Hi Dey'ja!
In 10 years I might very well be retired as I'll be 68. However, as I think about it today, I think I'd like to teach/train or write. I enjoy writing about a variety of topics.
What about your vision for your career in another 10 years ?
Good luck,
Mark

Hi Dey'ja,
My plan for 10 years is hopefully growing into my current technical position to a higher expertise level. I would love to take mentor roles as well.

Great question Dey'ja,
In the next 10 years I hope to grow within my company, publish a novel, mentor others and provide support for family and friends who would like to do the same.

Great question Dey’ja...
I’ve been with the company for 12 years thinking I knew what I wanted to do based on results and other people’s suggestions. I will say this once you find your purpose and that THING that puts a constant smile on your face and joy while doing it, then you’ll want to do whatever that is for the duration of you working career.
Within the next 10 years I personally hope to get closer to that and making an impact on the lives of everyone I encounter!

I've just recently completed my first 10 years at Dell as a software engineer, and I hope in the next 10 years to have the opportunity to work across a range of different and interesting new technologies. Things change pretty quickly, so that will require me keeping on top of technology trends, doing my own research and experimentation and perhaps taking a course here and there.

As of writing this, I am about to graduate from my university with my bachelor's degree in arts, which is focused on Culture, Literature, and the Arts. My plan for the future is to hopefully work somewhere in human resources with my skillset but my dream is to have a career in English either teaching or writing. I am an avid lover of fiction related work and hope to write a novel one day as well. Do you have a specific vision that you are looking forward to in 10 years?
