Hi Gerthranique!
There are many opportunities in the medical field. And you don’t really need to be a physician to achieve a high paying job in the healthcare field.
Some examples are:
Respiratory Therapist
Dietitians and Nutritionists
Radiologic and MRI Technicians
Chiropractor
Registered Nurse
Dental Hygienist
Biomedical Engineer
Physical Therapist
And the list goes on.... With that said, if you want to be a physician it's a very rewarding career.
So how do you get started? If you're in high school, the first thing you want to do is talk to your high school career counselor. From there you can research different roles in the medical profession. See what lines up with your strengths and maybe your passion.
Most of the positions listed above require a 4 year degree. Some only a 2 year. To become a physician, you're looking at 10 to 14 years.
I hope this helps!
