Hello Michael!
I think before looking for things that can benefit you as a teenager to start a business, you should probably think first about what type of business would you like to start. Do you want to open a lemonade stand, start a T-shirt company or sell products that you create yourself etc.?
After finding a type of business that you are passionate about and enjoy, then you can start looking for the things that can benefit you in starting this business.
Some of the things that will help you achieve this goal are:
- Educating yourself on that topic: Research everything there is on that type of business whether it is by using the internet or by asking people who own a business in the field you want to work in.
- As I mentioned in my first point, the second thing that will help you achieve this goal is to get a mentor. Mentors are people who have extensive experience in their respective fields and can coach you and train you and share their knowledge that can make all the difference! (PS: You can have more than one)
Other than that I think once you actually launch the business it will be a learning curve for you and you will have to try things that might fail sometimes but your knowledge and mentors will help adapt to those.
Hope this helped! Good luck!

Hello Michael,
I think it's a great idea to work within the field of your intended business first. For example, if you want to sell a product, work for a retailer for a while so that you'll understand customer behavior and technology associated with it. Gaining that insight will help you to feel more confident in handling challenges that might occur and it will help you to understand if that type of business is really something you're interested in turning into a career.
Thank you,
Dawnyale
