What are some obstacles in owning and starting a business ?

Hi there! It really depends on the type of business you want to start. There are a number of administrative things to think about before you get started:
1. What type of business will you be? A solo proprietor, Limited Liability Corporation? Inc? There are pros and cons to each and you can find more information online. www.legalzoom.com is a great resource.
2. You'll have to register your business. Check the requirements in your state and county for this.
3. How will your business be structured? Are you providing a good or a service?
4. Can your business be operated online or will you need physical space?
5. How much money will you need to get going? For some inspiration, I suggest reading the book The $100 Startup.
6. What kind of professional insurance will you need>
7. Website, social media, etc for marketing purposes? Lots of great free programs out there with website templates such as Wix.com, Wordpress.com or Weebly.com
8. Be sure to develop a strong business plan. Score.org has some great templates you can start with.
