Hi Emma- I tend to see students opt for AP Biology over AP Chem. You will most likely need to take both in college; scoring well (3, 4, or 5) on your AP test may get you out of basic or intro-level science classes. Have you taken traditional, non-honors-level bio or chem? Which one did you like better? Which one did you do better in? Colleges want to see that you can challenge yourself academically and rise to that challenge. Taking either one and doing well will look great on your applications, so go with whichever topic is more interesting for you.

Both are excellent preparation for college. One benefit of AP Bio is that you don't have to take a follow up course that directly builds upon this class. AP Chemistry takes care of one semester of inorganic chemistry credit, but this may put you in the uncomfortable situation of not being adequately prepared for Chem 2 your first semester of college.
