Once you are in the nursing field does it become easier to further your education and become a doctor?

I am asking this question because i am planning on becoming a nurse however i am afraid that it will not be what i want and i will want to become more. I need to know if that is possible in a reasonable amount of time. #doctor #nurse

Dear Izabellah, I think this is a great question! Becoming a nurse may seem very much related to becoming a doctor, but the paths are somewhat different. If you become a nurse, you will get a degree as either an ADN or a BSN. Becoming a doctor will take more time and be more intense- You might try talking to some nurses and doctors-- call your local hospitals and see if they have a shadowing program. If you get a chance to see what a "day in the life" of a nurse or doctor looks like, it might give you a better picture so you can make a decision- Either one is certainly rewarding, but both require an investment in time and money- You might want to decide before you make a big investment to see what the work is really like.
Best of luck to you!!
