Does anyone know of anyone that is hiring students around Gwynedd/Anglesey area?

I'm a student that is leaving secondary in a few weeks.

I'm looking for a job i can do over the summer and hopefully into the winter times as well.

I live in Porthmadog so not too far away. Some advice would be describe a bit more about yourself and what you can bring to the table, it's better sometimes to sell yourself rather than think those around you will sell for you. So create an image of what you can do and advertise yourself to the area. You can even include what you want to do as then you'll come across more convincingly.

Hi Ioan

Sorry, but this forum is more focused on general career or educational advise rather than specific job opportunities.

Also, I'm not sure what the chance it that one of the advisors even lives near Gwynedd/Anglesey. So I'd research local resources and job boards like Indeed.

Sophie’s Answer

Hello Ioan,

If you're keen on securing a job that aligns with your career aspirations or gaining experience in a specific field, I suggest you research the companies in your desired location. Reach out to them to inquire about any temporary roles they might have.

Consider factors such as your preferred working hours per week and your commute to and from work.

Your age wasn't mentioned, but bear in mind that some jobs may have specific age criteria.

It could be beneficial for you to register with job or temp agencies in your target area.

If you've previously worked during holiday periods, this experience could be advantageous in obtaining the job you're currently seeking. It's always a plus to have prior knowledge of the work, rather than starting from ground zero.

If you have relatives or friends employed in the area, don't hesitate to ask them about any upcoming opportunities that might suit you. Insider information could give you a head start on a job before it's publicly advertised.

Best of luck in your job search!
