No it does not. My close friend is 5'6 and is a very well respected firefighter. My suggestion to you....no matter how small...out work and out think your competition. Work harder than your peers and you will do fine.

While some of the work may be difficult, it is definitely possible to become a firefighter regardless of size. As long as you work hard and keep trying to improve yourself in what ever tasks are presented to you, you can definitely become a firefighter.
