What kind of classes, such as math classes for example, should I enroll in for my first year of college if I am wanting to enter the field of business?
I am going into the field of business I hope, and don't want to waste my time on classes that won't help further my future career. #business #career #accounting

Hi Emily! I would suggest that you talk to your college advisor about which courses are required for your major.

Economics and finance. These will teach you how money really works and how to manage it. Most people really don't seem to understand the concept of supply and demand. For example, schools teachers don't get paid much because there are so many of them. Despite low salaries, people continue to get teaching degrees and then complain about the pay.
I'd challenge you to determine WHY you want to major in business. Do you have an idea for a product? What part of business appeals to you? I encourage you to try out different courses to see which really excite you. If you work at something you love (or at least like), it never feels like work.

Statistics, Economics and Business Calculus. Also, make an appointment with the business school counselors. They can advise you on which classes (and sometimes which professors too!).
