if you stay up with the engineering program you should be fine. You have to like math and sciences and be willing to dedicate the time needed to do well. I'm sure there are less demanding program, but you need to pick a career that you enjoy. If you enjoy what you are doing its easy to put in the work and succeed. Good luck.
Narshu’s Answer
- Find your interest
- If you're going for engineering find which stream interests you the most
- The more you enjoy and the more you're exposed to facets of your interest and more supple you'll be for upcoming change.
- And question about, difficulty.
- Every stream we opt there's hard work involved
- So if you choose the stream of your interest then there's no word called difficulty
- You'll start to enjoy the stream and you'll enhance your skills and will be more creative to handle the subject
- Interest is what required to pursue any degree and be successful
- If engineering is your interest then go ahead and make it as passion and I say you'll be great in that interest.

I'll be truthful with you, Lauren. Engineering is one of the more challenging majors in College. The course work demands a lot of work and attention. It helps if you have found science and/or math interesting in High School. You mentioned that you do not want to be "super stressed". Does that mean you have avoided taking advanced placement classes in high school? Do you intend to do less than a minimum of 4 years of math and 2-3 years of science? If the answer to these questions is "yes", you may not be "cut out" for the challenge of an engineering degree. And as one of the Commenters, above has stated: "If you don't want it, you'll know after 1 semester and can change your major".
Kenneth’s Answer
If you want to do it, do it.
It's a lot of work. It's not easy. But if you want it, it's totally doable. Go to office hours, do all the homework, find a study group, sit in the front (really!), be ready to work your brain off. It'll be awesome.
If you don't want it, you'll know after 1 semester and can change your major.
