Hey Taylor! Excellent question!
I worried about this a ton too when I was applying for college. I think the right answer really depends on what you are looking for out of college. As long as you attend a semi decent school, I think academics and job employment really just evens out. What really matters is your own ability. I've known many of my peers that don't come from top tier engineering colleges, but they still land the top internships and opportunities. Don't worry about not getting into MIT or a top University. Of course going to a University like that will help, but you're not a significant disadvantage to get the best jobs or research positions.
Good luck with your decision!

Hey Taylor, I agree with the other answer from Taylor. I think any Engineering program is going to give you all the basic skills and will have all the opportunities you need. If you are looking to get involved in research it would be worth your time to look into if the school has a lot of research opportunities. But just know that once you start applying to jobs, as long as you did well in your engineering classes and were involved with some sort of activity, regardless of the school you will be at an equal playing field. Also, especially after you get your first job, where you went to school basically becomes of no importance.
