Would it be better to major in biology or biochemistry?

I am going to major in one of the two in college, but I'm not sure if job services look for something general like biology or something more focused and centered like biochemistry.

Honestly, it depends a bit on the types of jobs you're looking for. Do you have an idea of what you want to pursue after college?
My sense is, though, that the jobs you'd be targeting would consider those majors relatively interchangeable. Employers often will look for students with a variety of majors, not just one, because you can learn similar skills across majors. For example, for my job as an education researcher, the job ad mentioned majors all across the social sciences because you learn a lot of the same or similar research skills in psychology, economics, sociology, etc.
