Daniel’s Answer

Depending on your ultimate goal, finding places to intern would be a great start. Your high school may offer business or economics courses, which I would definitely recommend as they will help you get a holistic understanding of the business world. Also, ask your guidance counselor, as they may be able to put you in touch with local intern opportunities.

I had good success with an unpaid internship while in high school as well as looking for some Community Colleges that allow concurrent enrollment and you can get a jump start on your business classes.

Erica’s Answer

Take as many math courses as possible. Under the difference in macro and microeconomics. The difference in supply and demand. Learn how to write a business plan. All of these things can be found online, so you can learn away from school as well.

Calvin’s Answer

I believe internship is always helpful. As part of the internship you may find out you love the field or sometimes you realize it is not for you. Best thing is to work with your Guidance Counselor to determine the best opportunities for you.
