Is there any specific scholarships for anesthesiology?
I am a sophomore in high school and am planning on going into the medical field. I am hoping on finding scholarships so that I can get help for college. #medicine #anesthesiology

The American Heart Association recognizes the astonishing and ongoing lack of diversity across various healthcare fields, including anesthesia. In order to promote diversity, the AHA along with Macy’s, offers an annual scholarship for any minority woman pursuing a degree in a healthcare field, the GoRed for Women scholarship.
The majority of cardiovascular technologists are and will continue to be employed in the hospital setting. However, as physicians continue to take advantage of outpatient procedures more and more, these professionals can also expect to find increased demand in private physicians offices as well as medical laboratories and other outpatient facilities.
Applicants for this scholarship must be already enrolled at an accredited college, university or allied health institution and have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0. The scholarship also has an essay and recommendation letter component to its application process. The total awarded to scholarship recipients is currently $2500.
