Entrepreneurs often go bankrupt. They put their passion, time, capital, sweat and tears into their business only to see it dissolved. As a venture capitalist, one might assume that of ten start ups one will be a spectacular global success, one will grow into a large and profitable business, several will grow into sustained profitable entities, one or two will never grow beyond its roots and the remainder will go bankrupt.
I have worked with entrepreneurs who have become billionaires, some became wealthy and many gave up.
There are no guidelines relevant to a minimum or maximum amount you may make. Success is based upon the products and/or services you provide, the number of people who want your offerings and your ability to plan, manage and grow a business.
Most entrepreneurs I worked with had a deep passion to "change the world", a keen sense for understanding the needs of their customers, an endless optimism, a prodigious work ethic and an ability to network with and/or hire successful, passionate, knowledgeable/skilled in business leaders to grow the business.
Speak with successful entrepreneurs in the industry you wish to enter
Speak with Venture Capitalists and learn what principles make a business successful or what makes it fail
Read a few books on start ups and acquisitions, the pros and cons of creating a global business

I mean, the minimum is nothing and the max is billions. Being a successful entrepreneur depends on so many different things. Are you a good business owner? Do you manage your income well? Do you have a great product or service? You have to be organized and you need to know the ins and outs of the industry you want to make your money in. I recommend doing research and figuring out what you want to do. Then figure out how to make some money doing it better than anyone else.

Bob offers some great things to consider. Additionally I suggest you look at programs in your area that provide entrepreneurship education about how to identify if there is a market willing to pay for your product or services, how to develop a good business plan and other business fundamentals. There are likely boot camps and other programs for students that can help you get connected with resources. This knowledge will improve your chances to launch and grow a successful business.
