Hi Ravendra,
I am happy to learn that you have taken Humanities/Arts stream for your specialization. This stream opens several avenues for you to pursue post your higher secondary exams (12th Board exams).
I presume you would have studied subjects like- history, cultures, philosophy, economics, accountancy, visual arts, music, and English. Some students also opt for Mathematics along with their core arts subject to open more avenues for their graduation and jobs later. I assume that your aim is to land a job post your graduation. I am hence, providing you a list of jobs along with the graduation course name that you need to pursue to get the job.
Note that the below list is just an indication of the popular route that one can take to pursue the indicated career. This by no means restricts an individual to take a different route to pursue the indicated career/profession.
Career/Job ---> Graduation Course
1) Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) and all other State Services, Teacher ---> Graduation in any field of your liking. However, graduation (B.A.) in subjects like History, Geography, Philosophy, Economics, Sociology, Political Science and Public Administration help while preparing for the exams to get into the services.
2) Journalism, Jockey- Radio and Television, TV Production and Writing, Advertising ---> Bachelor in Mass Communication, Bachelor of Mass Media (BMM), Bachelor of Journalism
3) Fashion Designer, Accessories/Jewellery Designer ---> Bachelor in Fashion Design, Bachelor of Design (BDes)
4) Hotel Manager, Event Planner, Catering Manager, Tourism Professional ---> Bachelor in Hotel Management
5) HR Manager ---> Bachelor in Human Resource Management
6) Accounts Manager/ Chartered Accountant ---> Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) (One can pursue B.Com if he/she has Accountancy as one of the subjects in higher secondary)
7) Sales and Marketing Manager ---> Bachelor in Business Administration (B.B.A.) / Bachelor in Business Management (B.B.M.)
8) Lawyer/Judge ---> Bachelor of Legislative Law (LLB). For becoming a Judge, one needs to further give competitive exams.
This is not at all an exhaustive list of careers and courses to take post your higher secondary in Arts. There are tons of courses available. However, the above list tries to indicate the immense scope that is available after completing your higher secondary.
All the best!!
