Civilian Jobs with a criminal justice or criminology bachelors?

I sort of already know what I want to do for my future jobs. I have a huge list actually, just incase I can’t get the first! I always thinks it’s nice to have a bunch of jobs I would like to do so I don’t get discouraged if I can’t get the first one. I have been going insane trying to find as many civilian jobs out there for people with their bachelors in Criminology and Criminal justice. I will be getting my bachelors in 2 years Criminology & Criminal Justice with a Certificate in Criminal Behavior. I would like to know all of the jobs that don’t require being an officer or several years of experience in that field! I have a lot of Administrative skills from this construction job is used to do the office work for and my current job involves a lot of it as well. #criminaljustice #criminology

Nick’s Answer

Hello Shakarri! You ask a great question. Though Criminology is a narrow field, it is broad enough to be applied not only employed with a Criminal Justice agency as a criminalist or analyst, but also in a research capacity with universities and non-profits. There are even private industry professionals that focus their statistical research efforts as information packages for businesses and corporations. I think you would be best served by researching these and trying to find an internship with the ones that interest you the most. Use that experience to make that leap into the work force. Also, go visit some of these places. See what the employees say about the job.

Nick recommends the following next steps:

Internship
Visit professionals
Career profile testing
Visit the job center at your university
