Hi Victoria!
My wife is an LMFT and she said she would recommend getting some experience in the field, maybe an internship or a job that would be relevant. She remembers her professors telling her that any practical experience in the field of psychology would help her get into graduate school. She interned for two LMFT's, then interned for a suicide line, and then worked for a year after graduating her undergraduate with foster youth. Good luck!! She says its a very rewarding field
