Ted’s Answer

Female athletic trainers tended to leave the profession around age 28 years. Male athletic trainers tended to shift into the secondary school setting in their middle to late 40s. A general decline of athletic trainers in the workforce occurred after age 30.

John’s Answer

If your talking about personal athletic trainers there is no set retirement age. These individuals can perform this job until the normal retirement age of 65. These people are physically fit and educated in the field of personal fitness so they teach. They don’t have to be able to perform at an extensive level everything the teach. Hope that helps!
