When I put the word out for my business would it be a good idea to tag higher up businesses such as me?

Hi Reginald,
Sure, I don't think it would hurt to tag larger businesses in the same field as you. Customers may be searching for these larger scale businesses and come across your profile as another option. You can increase your visibility in the market place and perhaps even offer an alternative option for the business to suggest if they can not accept the work for any reason.
I used to have a side calligraphy business and had a friend that also did the same type of work. If I was ever booked for a weekend and could not take a job, it was helpful to refer my client to her and satisfy the client and help a friend out at the same time.
Hope this helps!

Yes, that would'nt hurt. You can collaborate with your competitors so as to refer eachother. It would would also a good idea to tag businesses horizontally or vertically connected to you in the value chain.

While it likely wouldn't hurt to tag related businesses, it would be even better if you could find potential customers to tag that could help spread the word for you.
