What a great question!

College can be an intimidating experience, but I think you'll find that there are many paths and groups within each school that you can find like minded people. While it might seem there is a description for each school, each one likely has a myriad of people, personalities, values, and interests to explore. I wouldn't get too caught up on if you match their description. You are bringing your own flair and brilliance to their existing tapestry.

Good luck! If there are any other related questions you have, I would be happy to answer!

Hey Deandre, thanks for reaching out!

Getting to college is a bit like dating - it's not whether it's too good for you, but whether it's the right fit for both of you. Does it align with what you want to do, what your interests are, and what you believe in. If so, you're on the right foot.

What's helpful in knowing whether the college is the right fit for me is checking out its social media -- what kind of stories does it promote, do I want to be part of that, can I imagine myself happy there, am I excited to start learning.

Also, it sounds like you've already been accepted, since you've committed to it - so I'm guessing they already think you'd be a good fit for them. Maybe you might be experiencing imposter syndrome nerves, where you feel like you don't deserve to be there despite getting a place. It's totally normal and something a lot of us in the work place face. I don't have an answer to that, but what helps me is knowing I've been hired, and it's my job to do the best I can.

At the end of the day, college is what we make of it. If you're studying hard, joining groups, exploring new areas of learning and making friends, that's mission accomplished. You got this!
