Hi - this will sound simple but that is the beauty and had a backing in mindfulness meditation:
"Be human first".....meaning, when someone around us disappoints us or irritates us, we have a choice in how we respond. Respond, don't react. Be human first. We all just want to be understood and acknowledged non-judgmentally.

Be true to yourself. Always be yourself. Don't try to be something your not or try to go into a certain major just because you'll make a lot of money. Follow your passions, but be smart.

Stay relaxed and always think beyond the moment. The things you think are problems today will be something you laugh at years from now. Stay positive and don't be afraid to ask for help if you need some.

Be a thankful person, if there might be a disappointment, try to make it a learning lesson.
