For your approach, you should think about what doors you close as you select college majors. Nearly any engineering degree makes you employable on graduation, and gives a breadth of mathematics to help you succeed in a variety of paths. Take electives for business management, finance, and communications to round yourself out. You'll find you have the ability to develop nearly any path you choose. Pick a degree that requires a masters or doctorate to find employment, and you'll get fairly specialized and find less opportunity to change. Pick a program that lacks strong problem solving with mathematics, and your options rapidly decline when you can't place into a good company at graduation. If you have no technical interest, you need to think about your interest and strengths in business management, marketing, and communications. Your real education is going to come when you join the workforce. A strong engineering background gives you skills beyond its technical discipline. It lets you sit in many different company positions. You may be surprised how many major business leaders started as an engineer. You are really just setting the stage in college. Give yourself the right base to find the right path for you.
