Cashflow is the key item to monitor. If all your resources are dwindling/running out then time to consider stopping for now. You can always build your resources up again and try starting again if you believe there is a need for your business.

Robin’s Answer

Rodrick,

You should shut your business down when you find that you are putting out more money than you are taking in for an extended period of time. In the beginning you may not see a profit, but if that continues for to long you may want to considered shutting down. However, before you do that, think about what is keeping your business from growing. Look at the market, do a market analysis, your clients, your location and your product. Maybe you need to make some changes/adjustments. Look at your advertising and don't be afraid to get feedback from your customers. They are how your business survives so you want to hear from them on what is and is not working. Good luck!

Rom’s Answer

Nothing happens overnight. Hardwork and being smart makes the dream come true. Be passionate with what you do and everything will follow. Not because it doesn't go along with your plan means you will give up, just try and try to make your business achieves your goal. Take one step and one day at a time . Maybe last thing to consider to shut your business is if there are already critical factors (e.g. huge amount of money loss, health issues etc).
