In the state of Nebraska, is there many jobs for mechanical engineers?
I wanted to know the job availability for mechanical engineers in Nebraska. Along with that, is there a high percentage of mechanical engineers that obtain a job soon after college? #jobs #mechanical-engineering #after-college

Sure, there are some. Here's a link for engineering jobs in general. I'm sure there are other, but this one I am familiar with.

I grew up in Nebraska, graduated from UNL, and left the state due to an inability to find Mechanical Engineering jobs which actually required machine design. Most all of the positions available in Nebraska were for engineers that would be mostly involved in program management or manufacturing line engineers (principally located outside the Omaha-Lincoln corridor).
I have spent a 30 year career in the Chicagoland area. This geographic area is full of engineering positions of all kinds. Most importantly in this geographic area, when your employer has a workforce reduction finding another position here is many times more probable than in Nebraska. In other words, an engineer has better financial stability here than in Nebraska. Chicagoland is not the only geographic area that has these opportunities.
