What major or minor would compliment a Computer Science degree?
It seems that many people are applying for computer science because of the increased growth in jobs. I want to focus on the software aspect (so I would prefer not to do computer engineering or any engineering). I have been looking at Web Design and Software Development but I am not sure which is the best to help my computer science degree and the most attractive to employers. I am kinda leaning to becoming a Software Application Developer (but I am a senior so I am still deciding) if that helps. #computer-science #computer-software #information-technology #software-development

Anything around project management or Finance. I have some web design background as well and all of it has been an asset and has allowed me to move freely within the company to try different fields. The point is to find something you enjoy doing and compliments your program. Web design does that too. It won't hurt.

Computer Science is a great career option. There are many options that you can pursue along with Computer Science as another major or minor.
Here are few I can suggest: Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Psychology, Education to name a few.
It depends on what you want to do in your professional life after finishing your under graduate education.

Hi Savanna,
Analytics and creative thinking are very important in software application development. As developer, you need to make sure your code runs fast, accurate and without bug. Algorithms and data structures play a big role in development.
Most of this comes from mathematics and analytics and I would highly suggest taking one of these as major or minor.
