It's great that you are planning to pursue a career in medicine. Don't let the worry affect your decision, the challenges will take care of themselves as you conquer them. Should medical school not work out, as Janet mentioned, their are many other options such as a physicians assistant (PA), which requires less schooling.
Good luck & regards,

Hi Christin,
If you enjoy science and math, but are afraid of the intensity of a medical career, consider alternatives, also related to the medical field. You could be a development scientist for drugs (and have a cool title: 'Scientist'), or a microbiologist , or a pharmacist. There are lots of jobs in chemistry or microbiology in interesting fields. Or switch to the vet side of 'medicine' and work with animals of all types.
I wish you well in figuring out what path to follow. There are LOTS of options in the sciences....not just human medicine, so explore alternatives.
Kind regards,
Janet
