Janet’s Answer

Take as many advanced math courses as you can, also the sciences including chemistry, and physics. See if they are any engineering, math or science teams or clubs you might join. Take courses in the summer during school breaks. You will learn from all these activities and meet people who can give you guidance. Good Luck!

TLAUREN’s Answer

You need at least a master's degree to become an astrophysicist, though many employers require a doctoral degree. Students can expect to take courses in engineering, physics, astronomy and other science courses. Students need to first complete a bachelor's degree with a major in astrophysics or a similar field.

Start by being a good scientist and exploring what you need to accomplish: which is what you are doing. Go online or to your library and read books about astrophysics, such as by Carl Sagan or Neil deGrasse Tyson, if you haven't already. There are some excellent free courses available on Coursera: https://www.coursera.org/search?query=astrophysics&page=1. Some of them are free and would get you off to a great start.

Boldly go, my friend.
