What is the best/most common major that students go into when they go to college when they want to be a physical therapist?

I was thinking about majoring in kinesiology in college. honestly unsure about what school at the moment. have been looking into umass amherst's kinesiology program. I want to get the best education in undergrad before going into a strict physical therapy track. #physical-therapy #major #college-major #kinesiology

During your studies, you’ll have to take many science courses, which will give you a good understanding. A lot of PT minded students major in kinesiology because it gives a good understanding of how the body moves. I hope this helps.

A kinesiology degree is a great option. Look at physical therapy program curriculums that you are interested in applying to. Knowing what a PT program expects for pre-requisites will help you choose a degree and your electives. A career as a PT can be quite rewarding. Enjoy
