What are some ways to enter the bioengineering industry?
I really want to have a career in bioengineering, but I do not know how I would start to find internships or places where I could learn more about the career. If anyone has any great tips or advice as to places I can look into, please let me know! #internship #career

Donna’s Answer
Although I don't work in this profession, a simple Google search "bio engineering Massachusetts" returned several suggestions.
Tufts University has internships for Bio Engineering. Tridex seems to be a large biomedical engineering company with a couple locations in Massachusetts. Path AI, Manus Bio, Sodexo, as well as Kelly Services have listings for interns or entry level technicians.

Hi Connor,
To build on Donna's answer, universities often have good, major-specific career pages where you can learn more a major/industry. If there are some well-known colleges that offer bioengineer, I'd recommend looking through their websites materials for info about possible careers and employers. From there, you can take a look at those companies' websites for internships. Consider reaching out to people in those companies using LinkedIn-- mention you are a student and you want to learn more about their role.

Bureau of Labor Statistics Occupational Outlook is a good source for the nitty gritty about a career path: average salary, # of jobs, job outlook

And lastly, Youtube has everything: videos from people in that major/role, TED talks, and more
Hope that helps!
Research bioengineering programs at universities--check out their career/industry pages to see what they suggest
Do research on the Bureau of Labor Statistics for industry facts
Look up YouTube videos
Reach out to people in the field using LinkedIn. Mention you are a student and want to learn more
