Hi Dorothy! To become a neurosurgeon you have to go to medical school, that being said you must take prerequisites to apply to medical school. The classes will be English, math (Stats and Calculus), biology, chemistry (both inorganic and organic), physics (can be university or college-college is Algebra based while university is calculus so it depends on how comfortable you feel about either math), and there are other recommended courses. Some of these are ethics, psychology/sociology, genetics, anatomy and physiology, cell and molecular, etc. You can be any major and apply to medical school, it's really about showing commitment through service and doing well in your classes/MCAT score.
Please let me know if you have any more questions and be sure to check out the link below for more details on the classes!

Best of luck!
