Celeste- The best advice I ever received in college was to ask questions when I didn't understand. I found that most of the professors had hours set aside on their calendar to be available to students. I went to one of my instructors when I didn't understand a concept that he was eager to give me more resources to make the concept more clear. Knowing the professor's expectations really helped me learn how to prepare better for the courses I was taking. Best of luck in your future and don't be shy about questions!

Use your resources. That could be your professors, the learning lab, the library, or your classmates. College, especially nursing school, does not have to be a solo mission. Like Teresa said, professors have hours to meet with students, they don't want you fail but you have to reach out.
Classmates are an awesome resource. For one, it's not as intimidating as professors but concepts can be explained easier by a peer sometimes. Create a good study group & actually study.
Librarians are the most underrated resource out there. In the world of the internet & google, we often overlook these individuals but they are a great help. For one, they basically know the library inside & out so they can tell you if a book you need is available but most colleges/universities also subscribe to professional journals, actual physical journals, & those have a lot of information that can be used when writing papers.
Good luck!
