I would recommend making a list to determine what kind of activities or things that you enjoy doing the most and believe that you are able to do in a career. Then make a list to see what you dislike and what you cannot see yourself doing. In both of these lists try to think of different reasons why you like or dislike aspects in both jobs. After you come up with a general list, talk to a guidance counselor or advisor to ask what possible job that one can get within those specific areas. They can often help guide the students to a major or occupation they might enjoy.
If you already have an idea of what you want to become, talk to local professionals in the occupation, they can often give you tips and insight into the job. Volunteering or an internship is also an effective way to figure out if you want to pursue a specific career or not.

Hello Justine,
Do not be too hard on yourself!
First identify your nonnegotiable when deciding your career path?
Example: If you do not enjoy/understand science then a career in the medical field might be harder to achieve.
Advice: Identify what you are strong in and research career paths and areas of interest.
Understand that students change their passion as they grow!
Talk to current college students and ask how they made the decision what to study.

Hey Justine! It's totally normal to not know what you want to do. Don't feel like you're strapped to one career options. Now is the time to explore! Choose a few careers you're curious about, and ask people who actually work in that profession what it's like. Also tune in to what motivates you; you said you like helping people? Perhaps working in not for profit, or volunteering? Just start asking questions and exploring - it's better to make mistakes and learn what you don't like, than guessing what you might like but not finding out. Good luck!

Hey Justine!
It's the common story for most of the folks around their college time, before that and even after that; and believe me that's totally fine.
This is the time to explore!!!
Take out some time and Introspect -
what you love,
what motivates you,
what do you want to do,
what do you want to become
and based on your thinking -> where do you see yourself in future.
Basically an action plan for your career,
Create backup plans too based on your interests and opportunities that are available to you.
and yes you can always parallelise your hobbies and interests side by side with your main career
Try to create big picture, set milestones and go for your passion
And as just you mentioned about Social work, you can try out some social/community work or work in not for profit - you will feel good and also create an impact on the society,
The former can also be done side by side with your main career
PRO Tips - Learn form your experiences and mistakes and also learn from other's experiences by interacting with people, and build your network
- Plan
- Try things out
All the best!
