Hello Jehlani: A Medical Examiner will require you become a Medical Doctor first. You will want to take all the required pre-med courses in college and also look for some type of internship or program which would allow you to follow a Medical Examiner for a few days to see if you enjoy that.

Hello!
Being a medical examiner in the US usually requires a medical degree (either MD or DO) but can be open to Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitioners in some states.
Anthropology is a good choice for this field but keep in mind that you'll need to complete prerequisites for your advanced degree as well. These usually include Anatomy & Physiology, general & organic Chemistry, language, and math classes, as well as others. These vary depending on which school you are planning on attending as well as which state you want to practice in.
Consider checking out the requirements to be an ME by state here: https://www.cdc.gov/phlp/publications/topic/coroner.html
