Susan’s Answer
Do you mean software or programs at colleges? And what would you like to design?
- For print: Adobe In-Design, Illustrator, Photoshop
- For graphics (illustration, logos, packaging): Adobe Illustrator
- For UX/UI: Adobe XD, Sketch, InVision, Figma
- For sketching/art on the iPad: I love Adobe Draw and Procreate
- For Art Programs at schools, it depends what you'd like to do in the future. There are art programs within colleges/universities, but also colleges that focus on "art". And within that you determine a focus (e.g. graphic design, or UX/UI design). For many professionals this is the path they took. But there are many learning opportunities online.
