In my opinion the best way to get a job depends on a few things:
#1 Job definition
- What do you like to do?
- What kind of job(s) fits into these criteria?
- Do you have the skillset for the job(s) you seek?
#2 Skills and Certifications (optional, depends on your experience, the job and industry)
- Learn about the skills needed through books, podcasts, Internet search, network, etc.
- If necessary, acquire missing skills required for the job you are seeking by whether getting a degree, internship, or a certification in the field/scope of the job.
#3 Finding companies, Applying, and Interviewing
- Once you have aligned both your expectations and feel confident about your skills start looking for companies in your field.
- Build a network. You can do so through local or virtual meetups, social media (LinkedIn, Glassdoor), events, job fairs, etc.
- Build a strong resume to get noticed and ask for references (if possible)
- Prepare, prepare, prepare for interviewing and make sure you have a non-exhaustive list of answers ready for basic questions (one word to describe you, tell me about yourself, etc.)
Land your dream job.
Hope this helps,
Cheers
