I can share two classes that I so happy I took. First statistics...for sure! I graduated with my engineering degree many years ago. My job responsibilities have evolved from being highly technical, as a network engineer to now, data science. The foundation I gained from my statistics classes has served me well in this space.
Second, engineering economics. Understanding the basics of economics was incredibly helpful for my understanding of how engineering activities help to solve business problems that ultimately drive the economic success of that business.
Hope this guidance is helpful and best of luck to you!

I’ve made myself the same question several times, and the response that I will give you may surprise you, as in my case the classes that I thought would be the less significant may have been the most important ones. After a number of years of working experience I’ve noticed how important it was to take all the basic “hard” engineering classes, but there was this “entrepreneurship” class that I took thinking that it was a waste of time, but after all these years I realize this class was probably the most important one.
Workplace nowadays can become quite challenging and one of the most important aspects in your studies is to have the ability to either work for a company, or work for yourself by actually “creating your own company”; “entrepreneurship” classes provide you with essential tools that you need in case you want to take your own route.

In my experience, Physics was the most useful set of classes to prepare me for future engineering courses. The concepts for forces, electricity, light wave and thermodynamics that I learned in Physics, I encountered in later engineering courses. The challenges I faced in acquiring an understanding of physical forces was well-rewarded later on.
