How many years of college is needed to become a dental hygienist?

I want to become a dental hygienist, but I would enjoy anything in the medical field that ill not take me too long to go through college. I really only want to be in college for 4 years. #medicine #college-major

More than likely you can go right into this field. A lot of junior colleges (aka community colleges) offer this program and you can graduate with your Associates degree after about 2 years and begin applying for jobs in dental hygiene.

Look at the course listings and majors at your area community college as a way to get started and hopefully you will be able to move forward from there!

To become a dental hygienist, you typically need an associate's degree, which can be earned in 2 years. This is a good option if you're looking for a shorter college program in the medical field.
