What does the average day of an occupational therapist entail?

I'm a student interested in Occupational therapy but unsure of the daily routine of the job. #occupational-therapy

Hi Victoria,


The day of an OT depends on where he/she chooses to work. A hospital based job is very different to a school based, etc, but mostly days are full and busy.
Hospitals and rehab are largely productivity based with 8o% to 95% being the target depending on the company. It can be tiring , exhausting some days.


Schools are equally busy , just different kind of pace .


It si a job that will require hard work......some people like it cos you can select to work part time, mornings , or a few hours a week, how you want your career to be , is really up to you. There is flexibility within the job market.
