Logistics is big business in Florida, where the broader wholesale trade, transportation and logistics industry involving IT and defense mainly. Apart from that, Florida also offers a prime location for Value added Logistics service, as well as a skilled multilingual workforce and competitive overall business costs. Firms benefit from Florida’s multi modal transportation system, foreign trade zones and other competitive advantages.

There are several industries around Florida that would allow you to utilize a logistics/supply chain degree. A good way to get started would be in the 3PL industry which would allow you to manage several different types of materials/products i a very short period time. Florida is also a hot spot for the import/export industry which would allow you to utilize your logistics degree in the containerized freight industry, this would include container import/export and drayage, and bulk freight industry.
South Florida is a prime spot for the import/export industry while central Florida is prime for distribution and 3PL.
