Richard’s Answer

I am a radiologist. There are multiple subspecialties in Radiology, so each of my partners daily work is quite different. I am an Interventional radiologist. I spend about half my time looking at Medical Imaging ( CT, x-ray, ultrasound, and MRI) to diagnose diseases. The other half of my time is spent performing procedures. We use ultrasound, CT, and x-ray to guide various Tools into different parts of the body to diagnose and treat illness. We can open and close arteries and veins as necessary. We also inject radiation beads and chemotherapy beads directly into tumors.

Paul’s Answer

I am employed part time at a leading retail technology company. I work hourly and my week encompasses 25-30 hours. My employment is very rewarding and enjoyable to me. I look forward to going to work and helping customers discover the right product that will enhance their life and provide efficiencies with technology. I always greet a customer with a smile and open dialogue with a question that invites them to talk why they came in. After several exchanges and further discovery I like to probe further and give them options they may not have thought about. Ultimately I like to be thought of as a Trusted Advisor. Someone who earns trust and where advise is offered to further discover other potential options that may not have been known before. If the visit progresses to a purchase I then offer options to consider along with showing a feature that they could immediately use. I end my shift with the goal of helping each and every customer to my utmost potential. I hope this helps. All the best.

Cori’s Answer

I'm a non-technical project manager, which means I work on projects that are not IT-related. I did take a PMP course, but did not sit for the exam because I don't have aspirations to be a scrum master (IT project manager). My job varies each day which is what I love about it. I don't think I could be successful in a role where I did the exact same thing each day. Definitely something to consider when deciding on your career. While, in general, my projects are related to the area I work in, each day there are unique challenges that provide me with opportunities to use critical thinking and creativity to solve issues, develop new processes etc. I enjoy collaboration and, even through this COVID crisis, am able to do so using my organizations great technology.
