What do "Universal Studies" Consist of in a List of Majors?

I've applied to a few colleges and universities that offer Universal Studies as one of their major topics!
When speaking to a professor from ECU, he told me that Universal Studies holds a group of many different topics- one of them being forensic science, which is what I want to major in.
Seeing as I want to major in that, why wouldn't they just list "Forensic Science" in the list, instead of "Universal Studies"? #college #college-major #forensic-science #universal-studies

Hi Tiffany!

Here is information about a degree in forensic science at ECU that might be of interest to you.

Here is a professional organization to which professionals in this area belong. Perhaps you could locate a local chapter and arrange to attend a meeting to mix and mingle and learn more. These organizations are very open to student inquiries and participation.
