with an income of 18k you're gonna have a problem finding a university, I suggest taking as many classes as you can at a community college then transferring to a regular university.

Hi Madalyn,

That's so great that you are interested in Architecture! So much of the college experience is the time, energy, and effort that you put into it. Things like rankings are fine, but all colleges and universities are full of wonderful students and professors who are brilliant. You can find great success at any school. If you are 100% driven by architecture, its not so much the university you end up at as the work that you put in. Since it looks like cost is a concern for you I would start with two things:

1) Look at architecture programs in your home state. In state tuition is often much more affordable than to leave your home state for school. Also, public schools (state universities) are also generally more affordable. It looks like you are in Linesville so look at the options available for architecture at Penn State.

2) Many schools offer scholarships geared towards specific fields of study. Explore different colleges and universities that have architecture programs that offer scholarships to prospective students specifically looking at architecture majors.

Hope this helps, and keep up the good work!
