Is it possible for an OB-GYN not to become attached or effected by still born births? If so, how?

OB-GYN are professionals. They are human and some of them are effected more than others. You will
learn as you go through the internship, but more than anything you will train yourself for
the benefit of the patient.

You will become somewhat desensitized over time. But don't make it a goal to lose the feeling altogether. Some patients will tug your heartstrings more than others. Don't lose your humanity or your empathy.
Your bedside manner is just as important as your skills. That patient will be looking into your eyes and can tell if there is nothing behind them.
You will spend time crying in the bathroom, the car, your house. Feel it. Use it.
