I majored in Statistics and Math in undergraduate and started my career as a data scientist in tech company.
Of course, there are many paths after studying match and statistics, such as continuing higher education in graduate studies or go into consultant industry or computer science.
I would encourage that besides taking statistics and math classes for the degree, at the same time to take as many computer science classes to up-level your programming skills that will be extremely helpful in a career in data science or even computer science.

Congratulations on choosing Math/Statistics for your major Xueting! Statistics majors work in a lot of different kinds of jobs. I work in the insurance industry and statistics is critical to identifying what prices we charge our customers, which is a special branch of statistics called actuarial science. Statistics also help us understand where to market our products, and how to help our customers get in fewer accidents and keep their homes safer.
The American Statistical Association has a really great website that shows you some of the other options you have.
