I would also add that you find the welding trade at a locally accredited school, such as El Paso Community College

Apply for any of their career grants and / or Pell Grant. You will need to complete your taxes and the FAFSA form to get your financial assistance.

Hi Hirvin,
I hope you are doing well. I would recommend looking at the different type of welder jobs to determine what career path you would like to take. For example, you can be a welder for construction, sheet metal, rig, aerospace, etc. You can even become a welder instructor.
I would then complete the appropriate training program to earn your welding certificate and look to obtain hands-on experience. Once you have sufficient experience, you can then seek to become a professional welder.
