It's a very important question. The answer will vary for each person. Before I answer the question, let's think about a few more questions.
1. What is your goal in your life for e.g. I like to solve problems
2. What do you enjoy the most for e.g. I like community service
Once you think about the above questions then would ask how can you achieve your goals in your current profession. Let's get back to the original question. I like to solve important problems the customer face everyday and I help them on daily basis. I feel happy when I extend my help and solve their problems. The answer can be different for a different person because everyone has a different goal in his/her life.
Let's discuss the second question, when your job is aligned with you goals then you start enjoying the job but maintaining a good professional and personal life balance is very important. Every company promotes this culture but with different responsibilities it may not be always possible. When you feel you are in such a situation then you talk to your seniors and take some time off.
The third question, there can be a lot of different problems. Let's take a few examples.
- Customer Problems: Customer is not able to clearly articulate the problem. We usually meet (in-person/virtually) to help them articulate their problem statement
- Customer Solution: Customer has a unique problem but not aligned with the solution. We usually give them options available (with pros and cons) and help them to choose the right solution
I hope that helps.
