Emilia’s Answer

Build up a Community! Nowadays, Social media is everything. I would strongly recommend you to start building your own community on the web. You can start by following you those who you admire, other artists and performers who can give you ideas about what to post and what kind of content you could create. That can give you ideas of what's trending could help you boost the interactions of your future followers.
If you already have the idea of what you want to share with your community, then it is all about hard work. I love drawing, singing and writing myself, I'm not a pro or anything, but if I've learnt something along the way, is that practice makes perfect. Keep working on the things that you love and don't be afraid of showing your skills to the world! Even if you don't think your work is perfect yet, try to share it.

Also, when I'm lacking creativity, as a part of my brainstorming process, I like to go spend a nice half hour on Pinterest to get some ideas. If you don't have an account yet, go check it out!

PS. You will probably find haters along the way, don't let them rain on your parade ;)

Emilia recommends the following next steps:

Build a community
Follow only inspiring people
Always keep a notebook with you, to write every artsy idea that pops up in your mind
Keep on the hard work
Forget the Haters

Ralph’s Answer

As it relates to singing, practice makes perfect. I like that you enjoy writing and singing. Are you part of any musical groups in your community and/or school? That is a great way to get exposure, meet new people, and practice. I started in elementary school choir. I loved singing and performing. The more I did it, the more confident I became. You should also record yourself singing your own songs. If you don't play an instrument, you should reach out to friends/family to play your music while you record yourself singing. Practice makes perfect. Also, watch some videos of your favorite artists and pay attention to how they change their pitch, tone, style with various songs. More importantly, be yourself.

Ralph recommends the following next steps:

Get involved with musical groups in your community.
Record yourself singing and keep writing songs.
Practice, practice, practice.
Be yourself and let your voice shine.

Jeff’s Answer

If you want to start creating more professional recordings, you should individually record each part (i.e., instrument, voice, etc.) and load them into a product like "Tracks Live" (there is a free version you can download). Within Tracks Live, you can do a lot of editing (stereo, effects, etc.) that will add a more professional quality to your recording.
