Chiranjib’s Answer
How do you define a goal?
A goal is an objective, an aim in life. What do you wish to become?
Do you have a role model? Like someone you admire a lot and wish to become like him or her? What are the qualities that he or she possesses? What are his or her accomplishments? If you can identify a quantifiable attribute about this person, then you may as well transform that into your goal.
Primarily a goal needs to have the following attributes:
S - Specific
M - Measurable
A - Achievable
R - Realistic
T - Time-bound

Maida’s Answer
A goal comprises of what is most of value to you. You can have both short and long-term goals but I think being goal-oriented means to constantly evaluate what is it that you find most important right now and in the years to come. Goals are not meant to be set in stone because your needs and desires change but it is solid framework to work towards.
